This September, NOMA Gallery invites artists to explore PORTALS — gateways, thresholds, transitions, and the spaces between worlds. A portal can be literal or symbolic: a doorway, a dream, a memory, a moment of transformation, an emotional shift, a spiritual passage, or an imagined realm waiting to be entered. Show us the places your art can transport us — where we step through and emerge somewhere new. 🎨 All media welcome — figurative, abstract, surreal, conceptual, digital, sculptural, photographic, and mixed media works that explore portals in any form.

SOLO- Zachary Shaul: Between Earth and Beyond
Zachary Shaul
Zachary Shaul's photography moves between two seemingly distant worlds: the vast living systems of Earth and humanity's reach beyond it. From killer whales hunting beneath the cold waters of Norway to rockets erupting from the Florida coast, his photographs explore scale, wonder, vulnerability and the instinct to discover. Across both wildlife and aerospace imagery, a common thread emerges: the desire to witness extraordinary moments and preserve them through the camera. This exhibition brings those worlds together, asking us to consider both the life already surrounding us and the places humanity still dreams of reaching.
